An Exit Plan for Chats, Sparks, Billing and Published Images
Leaving an AI companion service can involve more than closing a tab. EroLove AI’s public documents treat conversations, unused Sparks, payment periods and selected public character images differently. A sensible exit plan separates those objects before you pay or delete anything. We have not purchased, cancelled or deleted an account ourselves, so the steps below are based on the published policy and should be checked against the live interface and your payment record.
1. Record what you bought
Save the plan name, price, start and end dates, checkout method and receipt. The checked pricing page lists Premium at $12.99 monthly or $77.99 yearly and says crypto plans do not auto-renew; they end at the period’s close. Other payment options may have different mechanics when available. Do not assume every plan renews or never renews from the label alone. Read the actual receipt and current checkout terms. If you have a charge concern, preserve the transaction reference and the policy version you relied on.
The terms say purchases are generally nonrefundable, with exceptions for applicable law or an erroneous charge. That is a policy statement, not a verdict on any individual dispute. A reader seeking a refund should identify the exact basis and use the documented route rather than declaring all charges fraudulent.
2. Count Sparks without a sunk-cost trap
Premium includes 1,000 monthly Sparks that do not roll over; bought Sparks are described as nonexpiring while the account remains. The terms also say purchased Sparks are lost on account deletion. Record the balance and decide whether any remaining value is worth keeping the account open. Do not buy more media merely to “use up” an allowance. Time, attention and privacy are costs too. If you intend to delete the account, understand that unused purchased credit may disappear.
3. Export or remove the account data you need
The privacy policy says messages and memory can be viewed, corrected, exported and deleted in the app’s Our story area. Make a list of any conversation or generated image you want to retain for personal reasons. Do not export someone else’s private information just because it is in the chat. The policy says personal data is normally deleted within 30 days of account deletion, with limited billing, tax, fraud-prevention and legal exceptions; encrypted backups are removed on a rolling basis. We have not verified how this process works in practice.
4. Distinguish a public image from your chat
The policy says the team may select generated character images for public showcases, listings or promotion without linking them to a user’s account, name or messages. A selected copy is not in the user’s export and remains after account deletion. The terms grant a continuing licence for those uses. If complete retraction is essential, the best time to address that boundary is before generating the image. A deletion request about account data does not automatically revoke the public-copy permission.
Make a one-page exit record with four headings: payment period, Sparks, chat export/deletion, and public-image concern. Add the action taken and the date under each. This is a planning tool, not legal or financial advice. It does not accuse the provider of hiding an exit; its documents disclose these conditions. The criticism is that they are easy to consider separately while the decision to buy feels like one click.
